This project was for the A&G paper company in Athens Greece. The brief was about the creation of a banner for A&G's booth at the stationary exhibition in 2021. The company's goal was to create an illustrated banner basedย on the lead character of their top products named Pepitta. Here I would like to mention, that the character's assets were given to me and not created by me, which made the task even harder. As a designer myself, I prefer to create new designs based on my assets and sketches but I am glad I managed to obscure this obstacle. To continue, the main purposeย of the banner was not only to promote Pepitta's products but also to portrayย Pepitta as a character in a style close to the previous designer's.
Therefore, spending lots of hours sketching and brainstorming, I used my ideas as an animator and then as an illustrator. Given the size of the banner and its vertical position in the exhibition space, I decidedย to create a gigantic storyboard. The story that captured my attention was the English rhyme "Little Miss Muffet" that I was currently working on an essay for my university. Alongside a few alterations, the illustrations and the design of the environment around Pepittaย were the perfect combination to succeed in this project. The company was left utterlyย happy, the banner fulfilled its purpose, and lots of people managedย to see my illustration live.
